Quality of Life in Chiang Mai

Live your dream in a peaceful and safe environment where you are respected for your Seniority, with almost no Covid risk or restrictions

Retire to Chiang Mai because of:

Easy Life in the Sun

In Chiang Mai, the pace of life is much slower than in the West.  Chiang Mai follows Thai time, which essentially is: do not rush – tomorrow is another day.

We spend our days lazing by the pool, going for coffee to the hundreds of lovely coffee shops around, and short trips to the thousands of local attractions.

Entertaining Family and Friends

Chiang Mai is considered an exotic destination, and as a result we have many friends and family coming to visit.

We travel around Thailand and share these wonderful fun moments with them, creating a new set of memories to be treasured forever.

There is so much to do, and something for everyone.

Fantastic Accommodation

Because of its northern location and higher altitude, Chiang Mai is cooler than Bangkok but it is almost always sunny.

This means that most places have a pool and outside entertainment area.

There are so many accomodation options with condo’s being the most popular, super luxury villa’s, houses in private secured villiages, or living as a local in the suburbs.

Mountains surround Chiang Mai

Many expats here say: ‘Chiang Mai is the best city to live in because you have the first world facilities of a major city, and a short half hour drive to the countryside.’

We spend a lot of time visiting the superb coutryside around Chiang Mai and enjoying beautiful nature and freash air. This healthy life style helps to rejuvinate the body and soul.

Large Expat Community

Chiang Mai is home to many Expats of all nationalities. Chiang Mai has a well organised Expat Club with regular meetings and a wide variety of events and clubs.

It is super easy to make friends and spend time together.

The great weather makes outdoor entertainment a pleasure and many hours passed enjoying the wonderful life here.

Fun Day Trips. Beautiful scenery and landscapes

The scenery surrounding Chiang Mai, both natural and man-made is breath-taking.

Lush forests with elephants, monkeys, rice paddy fields, coffee plantations, mist-steeped mountains, lakes, waterfalls, trails, old villages, gardens, caves and national parks.

Do you fancy motorcycle daytrips? Just explore the beautiful coutryside. The list is endless and all just a short drive outside Chiang Mai

Healthcare

Chiang Mai offers first-world quality medical and dental care, inexpensive, fast and friendly.

We have just been for our annual full health checkup. It was so easy, and fast.

We saw the doctor who examined us, reviewed our medical history, and tailored a extensive checkup to our needs. We then did the various xrays, ultrasounds and blood tests etc.

Later the same day, we meet the doctor again to review the results of the tests (yes, you read correctly, the same day, not a week or month later) to get a full written report and explanation, and action steps for the future.

All of this cost us less than £200 each.

Single and ready to Mingle?

Chiang Mai is certainly a good place to find love or make wonderful new friends.

Lots of nightlife, party’s and entertainment. There is someone for everyone. You will only remain single if that’s your choice.

We spend a lot of time socialising, wining and dining at the thousands of pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Living a Good Healthy Outdoor Lifestyle

We also love travelling around Thailand and visiting the many seasides and islands. There are so many fantastic beaches and resorts.

Whether you prefer tanning on the beaches, or going diving or snorkelling, there is no end to the great times to be had.

To finish off a super day on the beach one can enjoy a sundowner cocktail at one of the hundreds of beach bars or restaurants.

So much to do

Chiang Mai has so much to do, that there is always somewhere to go, and interesting events. You will never be bored.

There are many festivals and parades throughout the year.

Thailand has incredible landscapes from beaches to mist covered mountains. Travel is very easy and inexpensive.

Don't call it a dream call it a plan.
